At present, we have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Manager, Internet Technology in our Englewood, CO location.
The Senior Manager, Internet Technology is responsible for the direction of the Oracle Portal and Web Applications team. The manager will be responsible for the overall technical design, development, installation and maintenance of all web portal applications. They will utilize the most effective technologies and architecture to build an infrastructure that supports the sharing of knowledge within the organization and with external partners. This includes the integration of portal applications with various disparate systems, primarily the Oracle eBusiness Suite. In addition, development initiatives may include off-Oracle platforms (Java, J2EE) web applications to support both internal and external business solutions.
The Senior Manager, Internet Technology will be expected to have excellent organizational and project management skills and be flexible to changing priorities. This position requires excellent communication skills in order to communicate professionally and effectively with Developers, Business Analysts, Functional Analysts, and Business Units while leading development projects. This role will need to have an outgoing, consultative personality and be able to interface at all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide leadership and vision to the overall Internet technology group to include performance of internet, network, capacity planning, and virtual host.
Assume a proactive role in identifying opportunities to solve business problems with information processing solutions.
Acquire and maintain a staff of high quality professionals, to include providing ongoing training, direction and guidance to ensure a motivated and productive work group.
Set performance targets and evaluate/enforce service delivery against targets.
Build long-term client relationships across departments/divisions.
Assist in the budgetary and planning process, to include providing accurate forecast data and ongoing management of assigned budget with the goal of optimal use of budgeted resources.
Keep abreast of industry and technical trends.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline and 8+ years relevant experience or equivalent combination of training and experience.
-Minimum 5 years of experience managing Web Applications and Internet Technology development teams utilizing one of more of the following technologies: Java, J2EE, Oracle Portal.
-Proven experience leading web teams to implement large-scale web applications
-Extensive experience with transactional and marketing applications
-High level of initiative and ownership of projects
-Ability to estimate work efforts for complex technology implementations, deliver results, and meet deadlines by using good time management skills
-Experience in managing a highly available production environment, including minimizing risks of routine and scheduled environment changes
-Excellent planning and time management skills
-Advanced Word, Visio, and Excel skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-At least 2 years of experience with Oracle Portal and/or Oracle eBusiness Suite integration
-Advanced degree in technical or business related field
-PMP certification
